ALIACO counts 29 employees spread across three departments : quality, commercial and administration.
Buying & Sourcing
Our commercial department is divided into portfolios: each of our 7 account managers leads a team composed of a quality technician and an assistant. They work on catalogue, file and also propose their own designs. Abdelghani Zarouk, merchandiser at ALIACO for 20 years, explains his daily work :
“Our mission as merchandiser is to defend the interests of our clients. We need to be proactive in terms of new collections, fabric and services… It requires a real technical and commercial expertise as well as reliable and responsive communications skills. We are always on the lookout for new opportunities for our clients at the best buying conditions: pricing, minimum order quantity and lead time. Therefore, we need to understand and have an expert knowledge of the whole production chain, from product design to shipment and coach our network of suppliers”.
Quality & Compliance
Our quality department is composed of 12 technicians spreading their time across product design, factory control and final inspection before shipment. The team is led by Malika Kawram :
“Graduated from a German engineering school, I started at ALIACO in 2014, after 18 years of experience in the textile industry. I oversee all quality operations and ensure that potential manufacturing defects are detected on time. I do not compromise on quality. I am responsible for implementing action plans in order for all our shipments to meet our client’s requirements.
Social Compliance
Ayad Abdelouahab oversees our social audit department, under the direction of Mrs Kawram.
“Our clients are increasingly concerned about meeting social and environmental standards when placing an order. We have taken up the challenge by implementing a reliable and efficient compliance control process in our factories: we provide support and training to suppliers, perform frequent audits to ensure a progressive and sustainable improvement. Our goal is to generate positive impact on quality and productivity.
Our quality control process
We accompany textile factories on the whole product lifecycle :
the quality compliance journey starts from the day the order is confirmed.
1Product development and fitting control
Sample check and size set before shipment
Fitting check of every garment on life models or dummies
Identification and correction of defects when necessary
2Daily quality control
Daily inspections carried out by our technicians to control fabric quality, accessories, production, labelling, finishing, and packaging in factories
Identification and immediate correction of defects when necessary
Monitoring of production progress to ensure timely shipment
3Final inspection before shipment
We have our own independent inspection centres established within factories to ensure maximum security and efficiency when performing our final random checks
We comply with our customers’ standards on sampling plans
A final inspection report is systematically after each control. If the lot is rejected, the supplier is immediately informed to recover the goods and proceed with reconditioning.
